Can any one help.

I have noticed a recent thing on tv, of businesses having facebook.com/tvadvert and that takes them direct to there business page rather than a profile page.

I have found where you create said "tvadvert" user name but this still takes you to a profile and wall rather than a business page.

can any suggest how this is done please as its driving me insane trying to get it to work

I have a business page but cannot for the life of me use a url like facebook.com/mypage

it more comes out like facebook.com/pages/-0300303/mypagename where as every one is using the facebook.com/tvadvert type to view there business page?

I will have a good read on that page as i may of missed something.

any more help always appreciated
 
Not sure what the rules are now, but you used to need 100+ 'likes' before you could rename your facebook link on a business page.

Where you did this was fairly hidden away but I'm pretty sure I actually got the info from a thread on here. Was a year or more ago though and I think rules may have changed anyway.
 
You need 25 likes before you can change the URL to the one you would like. I had to wait to do this and it was frustrating but once you have over 25 (correct as of a couple of months ago) you can go into the settings and customise the URL
