We spent a few days around Falkirk last week so took a walk to the Falkirk Wheel.
A rather grey day but what an amazing bit of engineering!!

Always surprised poeple go all that way to take pics of the kelpies and ignore this..... theres even two miniture kelpies there.. or there was last time i went

Lovely area!!
It's a place I've always wanted to visit so eventually got around to it last week.
We took the Moho to a site roughly a 15 minute walk from the wheel

Falkirk always brings to my mind "The Falkirk Malteser": an obscure but very funny Radio 4 comedy play from the 1980s, hardly at all based on Dashiell Hammett's "The Maltese Falcon" and even more loosely related to the film of the same name, which featured Humphrey Bogart.

I presumed they where permanant.. not there now ?

These miniatures are actually outside the visitor centre at the Kelpies.
They did a world tour a few years ago and we saw them at a horse sanctuary in Aberdeenshire.
There are miniature miniature ones in the kiddies play area at the Wheel
