Hey all,

I wanted to post this.

It's a little diamond in my photo collection.

I know it's not great, but it's the first photo I ever took using a digital SLR.

We went to the British Wildlife Centre in Lingfield, Surrey, and I took my brand new Canon 350D.

I saw this little fella mooching around, and waited for a shot, and waited, and waited. Then..... SNAP!

I took this.

As far as first shots go, I don't think it's too bad!

Comments and critique welcome.

I have two of my own:

1) I wasn't really aware of the whole "rule of thirds" thing, so that doesn't apply to this.
2) The two bits of grass are annoying!

Thanks

Andy

Eyes look sharp to me, very good first effort imo(y)

White balance looks bit off though, possibly the light reflecting off algae maybe:shrug:

It's not been altered with software, so is there anything you would recommend?

I'm getting this pic put in the feedback page of Digital SLR User magazine!

Woop woop!

Obviously I photo-shopped out the blades of grass first! :)
