FF vs Crop - but looking for comparative images

Hi,

As you may have noticed I'm considering getting a FF, however it will most likely be a 5Dc as I cannot get the funds for anything more expensive at the moment.

Now of course I understand the basics - 1 vs 1.6, however I've read much about DoF, image contrast, better noise (or rather from what I've read FF seems to give chroma rather than luminescence - but I may have read that wrong) and just the general "pop" factor and was wondering if anyone has any direct comparisons using the same lens, or knows of any online.

Oh, by the way I have searched - for days it seems, but the problem seems to be not the lack of results but more there are too many to find a decent answer, sort of a pin in a stack of needles sort of a job.

I have also posted this on a Canon specific forum, however here I've a larger range of potential helpers :D

Remember those are SooC jpg's though, so the comparison only goes so far.
Particularly comparing older cameras (since jpg engines have improved since they were made), might not be showing the full potential of the sensor (i.e, how good the RAW file can look with most recent converters).

just something to bare in mind if you're using that site :)
 
Okay thank you - I hadn't considered that and from what I've read the FF's really only get great when you process from RAW

Shame the comparisons don't reach back to older models - wouldn't mind seeing how my D2x compares like-for-like with newer DX models like the D300s and D7000.....

it does have the d2x and dsx2 theer not as fully tested as others vow, click on all at the top.

the d2xs looks about the same as the d300s upto iso 1600 then the d300 looks way better.
