File help.

Hi All.

Got my first SLR today and have been busy taking pics all day, but i can't get them on to my pc, tried opening them with photoshop but it says unable to open because it's not the right kind of document.

I can open them in windows picture viewer but they are tiny pics.

It is probably something stupid but i can't work it out, any help would be great.

Which camera & which version of photoshop ?

sorry should have said, nikon d40, CS2 and the files are NEF RAW.

go to one of your images , then right click it. then choose "open with" then select default program then select (cs2/3) as your default

You will probably need to upgrade CS2 / Bridge to support the D40 - on CS3 there's an update option in the help tab - try that
