Hi there

Im currently using B&W screw in filters, while the quality is great they are bloody fiddly especially in this weather, i've tried the Hitech/Cokin P system before and want to ask a few questions about these:

1) Vignetting on the 85mm, does using the 100mm systems remove this, my lenses are 77mm thread ones canon 20-35 and 24-105
2)Hitech or Cokinz pro, im ruling Lee out because of its availability and price.

many thanks in advance

John

I presume you are referring to screw-in ND filters.......

1) I use 100mm Lee & the wide angle adapter & no vignetting at 17mm on FF [even with a screw-in slim ND8 & B+W 10 stop too]
2) I was toying between Lee & Hitech so I would go for Hitech over Cokin personally. Again I presume you are talking about the Big Stopper as my recent Lee set up was ordered with next day delivery.

Hi Lee

yes mainly the ND filters but thinking on a system level it goes potentially beyond that, the Lee i heard was hard to get hold of and even then expensive, i have the 85 mm 10 stop hitech and will be getting it out again as had enough for the time being with screw in filters.

good to hear your 100mm on 17mm has no vignetting though thanks

Thanks mark

I have most of the 85mm set up but am wondering if it's worth while upgrading to the 100mm kit?

John

Cheers Mark

Think I'll get my 85mm kit out again and flog my screw ins and see how I get on, then look to save up for the 100mm kit
