I have a Panasonic FZ28 which like many compact and bridge cameras has a lens which extends when it is switched on and extends further when zoomed; minimum extension 7mm, max 25mm. Although the extending part has a filter thread it is not possible to use screw in filters, - I found out as the lens retracts a filter jams.
A square filter holder may work at the minimum extension, but it would be very easy to zoom the lens and damage both the filter and/or the camera lens.
I thought I had solved the problem with this http://www.morrisphoto.co.uk/ProductDetails~productID~5817~categoryid~167.html Problem is that the FZ28 is too big. Even with this device set at its maximum it is too small to hold the filter in front of the lens.
Does anyone know of anything that will allow me to use filters with my camera?
