Hi, I have decided to launch myself into the world of digital cameras and rekindle a hobby that was put to bed many years ago, my last camera was a Zenite E.
Pretty much decided to purchase 2500HD does anyone know as to whether or not I can use macro close up lenses or some of the special effect filters that are available.
I am not too sure as to how the cameras metering system might cope.

Looking at it, it does not have a filter screwthread, so no you couldn't.

Can you stretch your budget any further?

FUjishop has a refurb HS10 for £260 with a free case, which is a much better camera, has filter attachement thread as well as a Macro mode so you wouldn't need additional lenses. It is the latest incarnation of my camera and for that money is awesome.
