Firewire Card readers

Does anyone on here have either the Sandisk or Lexar firewire CF card readers?

If so could you please let me know if it is compatible (supplied with lead) with a 1394 port?

The Sandisk comes with a 800 - 800 cable and also a 800 - 400 cable, so the answer is Yes.

Not sure if i was too clear with my question. I know there are 3 sizes of firewire port 9/6 and 4 pin
i just popped to my local store and had a look it has a 9-6 pin and a 9-9 pin cable. I need to know if it works with a 9-4 pin cable.

I may just buy it and a spare cable and test it

Didn't read the question as that sorry

NO it wont. As the 4 pin doesn't have power going up it to power the unit. The 6 and 9 pin does. Also some laptops and Pcmcia cards don't have power on their 6 pin sockets , so it wont work with those either.
