I went out yesterday with my new 55-200mm lens to Nottingham Science Park. This is my first attempt at architecture or abstract images so any advice would be great.

I've also put all images in colour and mono for comparison (I think some work better than others but would like to hear your opinions too).

I know it's my own picture but I've just noticed the open window in the first picture. I like it, i think it makes it look like there is someone in there despite it being a miserable Sunday morning.

I like these, nice compositions and lines. The black and white conversions are more appealing than the colour ones to me :)

Hi

I like all of these but prefer the colour ones. I think the blue of the sky goes well with the colours of the buildings.

Some awesome architecture and shots here! Well done! And the coloured versions have a bigger impact, personally.

Great for your first attempt. For me I prefer the interest the colour brings.
