First attempt at oil and water

Looking through the previous threads, i noticed a lot of people are now trying the cd way. Wish i had seen that first instead of my long way round.

I found a colourful shirt and placed it under a glass bowl supported by 2 glasses to lift it off the shirt. Then used a few drops of olive oil and mixed it up and used a 105mm macro lens, set to F8 ISO 200, shutter speed i think was about 125 as it was lovely and sunny today.

There cool. May have a go at this tonight. Great idea with the tshirt.

So here it is, I prefer these with bigger 'bubbles' and less of them.
#2 looks like a side on view into a glass of pop. (thats an observation only)
Good exposure and focus so not bad at all.
 
Its really good fun- I used cooking oil for this shot and a small torch for illumination- also shot with a 105mm Macro lens

Will give the CD a go over the weekend, maybe use the other half's boyzone one :LOL:
