First attempt

Tried some Macro shots back in the Summer, but just don't seem to be able to get in very close to get any great detail - anyway, here's a few, all handheld 'cos I hate carrying a tripod - and apologies for the subject matter...some just as boring plants in the next thread

#3 is stunning! Not a creepy crawlies fan, but love #3. The colours are beautiful, as is the focus, spot on.

#3 jumped out at me - would make a lovely crop to square format. Lovely peacock butterfly. And I also love #5 - the metallic looking woodlouse. Well done

Thanks both, for positive comments, will only make me try harder...now, if only I can brave the weather, may try some winter macro
