Quite a neat pose it has struck for you there and not bad overall for a first one ... (y)


It is always good with animals to 'get down to their level' when taking pics and also concentrate on getting the eyes really, really sharp ... :thinking: ... the rest just follows on then ... :cautious: ... supposedly ... :D

Background is also a tad cluttered imgo ... ;)

I actually like the angle of this one, though Ven of course is correct about getting down to the animal's level as a general rule of thumb.

As you have kitty so central (another bit of a no-no) it may have been better to go for a portrait, rather than landscape crop ... cut out all the deadspace on the sides.
Also a little sharpen would make a dramatic difference, here.

Have not really figured how to use photoshop etc yet, still playing.
Will have a play around with this and see what I get.

I agree, the crop does look better but the original is good too. I love the colour of the background boards, but then I'm a deep blue sort of bloke. :)
