First attempts

These are my first attempts to take some pictures of my lilttle cousins, pretty much point and shoot but that should change soon, still got a lot of learning to do... Dont like the shadow to the right but if im right thats down to the pop-up flash a flashgun with a diffuser pointing to the ceiling should stop that from happening... right?

Interested to see what sort of response I get

A pop-up flash does limit things a great deal but nevertheless the colours are good in both shots. Neither is blown or over the top in the highlights. It is a shame about the shadow to the right (like you say) but its a good start.

Even with a pop-up flash you could lessen the shadow with a reflector on the right hand side, just out of shot. A bright white A3 card from a stationers (99p) would help a lot at this stage.
