First go at flies

Taken today with a reversed 18-55mm, i would have liked to get closer but when i zoomed in to much a white patch appeared in the photos:shrug:

Very simple setup, i drilled out a bodycap and stuck the reversed lens to that, then mounted it on the body, onboard flash set it 1/16 power.

I did try and set the aperture to about f11 but the amount of light it let meant i couldn't see anything, so these are all shot at f3.5

Sounds easy enough I presume you just cut the hole in the cap so the lens was a tight fit and didn't actually glue them together.

I drilled out the center then glued a spare UV filter to the bodycap.

It would be easier to buy a reversing ring, you can get them from ebay for about £5
