I can't fault that - it's a great shot.. nice n sharp with lots of detail.

Not really, the shots you and pxl8 have been posting lately have been superb, I might not have commented on too much lately but it doesn't mean I don't notice ;) In fact you might end up costing me money, I've got about six sets of bellows on my watch list at the moment :LOL:

What kit did you use?
I take it it wasn't just the 100 macro.
 
Beautifully clear and sharp but I've decided flies are too easy. Don't know what I'll shoot when I get round to it but no more flies for me :)

20D, main reason I kept it, 100mm macro and the new 580EX

Nice shot, ticks all the boxes - good focus, good detail, clean background, well lit.

Only thing I would change would be a more side on view to maximize the DoF. Of course that's not alway possible and for this angle you nailed sweet spot for the focus - the leading edge of the wing leads the eye into the focal point perfectly.
