first picture with the nikon nifty fifty tour lens

hi all

this is the first picture taken (possibly ever) with the nikon nifty fifty tour lens that i received today to kick of the nikon leg. this is my dad smoking in our garage so lighting wasnt great

This looks like it would be a good poster for those STOP SMOKING ADS. I can't say "it's a nice picture" but it is a well captured picture. The darkness of the scene adds to the impact.

when you say its not a nice picture how do you mean? the topic? or the action in the picture? the technicality of the picture? the composition?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was complimenting the picture actually. I liked the composition and it worked well being dark. When I say it's not a nice picture I mean that the subject can't be considered as nice - someone with a fag in their mouth, but pictures don't have to be nice to be good, if you see what I mean.
