First Post.

These are a couple of people shots of mine to see just how tough you lot are.
Both were taken at the back end of last year.
The musicians were a natural for B&W.
The Lifeboat man is Pete, Volunteer Lifeboat crew and full time Firefighter.

I really like the 1st image, the 2nd is a bit flat needs a little left, bit brighter.
It's great on here lots of really nice people.

No1 Great in b+w. Love the range of tones. Pity about the poles (guitarist looks like he's been skewered!) but maybe there was something in the bg wherever your vp.

No2 Okay but again I find the white structure growing out of his shoulder distracting.

As a suggestion - always pay attention to the bg.

No 1 I really like, but agree about the poles, though these could very easily be removed in Photoshop. Nice photography but the guitarist looks like he left his false teeth out, not your fault though.

In the second picture I think it would be better if you had not cut the RNLI badge on his clothes in half, and changed the angle you took it at slightly to avoid the distracting white thing which clashes with his helmet. You could also then have offset Pete over to the left or right of the picture for a better composition. Nice historical shot to keep though.
