Good afternoon, been a member for a long while and thought it was time to say hello. Bought a Sony NEX-6 a number of years back and didn't really get on with the viewfinder experience having come from 35mm SLR's. Came across a Canon EOS450 late last year so bought that and enjoyed that, including disassembling the 75-300 lens to clean some internal mould? on one of the optics. Just bought an EOS5d mark2 which is a different beast entirely!
Living in Northern Scotland and enjoy nature/sports photography, impressed by some of the images taken by others.

Welcome Kevin, glad you've moved from lurking to joining in the fun. Great location for photography, so hopefully you'll be able to hone your skills and take advantage of the help available on TP
 
Yes, definitely a good location, lots of sea birds and great beaches. Red squirrels too. The garden visiting birds are quite a treat, we have had Redwings and Redpolls.
Capercaillie walking yesterday but didn't have a camera as it was a strenuous day, winter walking kit was enough!
