I got my first batch of B&W films developed a few weeks ago. Although in no particular project or set, here's some of my favourite shots from them, using Tri-x and HP5:

Not the best compared to some shots in the section, but i'm happy with my first rolls of B&W. I'm undoubtedly hooked and have ordered a tonne of B&W to get stuck into :)

thanks for looking / offering critique.

Thankyou for your comments!

as in the first post, I'm completely addicted to B&W film now :) My DSLR get's less and less use every day

Love the shot of the tv. Seems almost timeless. Well done.

The last two for me. I can't easily get all the Opera House one on screen at once, but I love that lady scratching her hair. And the two buildings with the twisty bridge between is dramatic, with eye-catching contrast between the two halves (if a bit blown on the right?).

Thank you for your comments everyone!

Chris, the Opera house is one of my favourites too.
I also think the building on the right looks a bit blown in the highlights annoyingly, especially as the building fades into the background, at the bottom of the image. I never noticed the contrast of the buildings until I got the developed film back, at the time I just thought the bridge was pretty cool.

Welcome to our world Ash, you can check out but you can never leave.....:D

Number 3 is absolutely spot on! Very well done!

Number 4 is quite over exposed and number 2 is a bit out of focus for my eyes.. Still, very impressive work!
