Ok, so I very rarely do this sort of thing. I'm kind of hiding behind the camera, what do you think?

info:
This was shot into a mirror, off camera flash on the floor facing towards me.

C&C welcomed - don't abuse the model - its not his fault

if i am totally honest mate....

its ok but i would have liked to have seen it lit up aliitle more i can see the idea in hiding behing the camera i do it myself...

maybe if there was more light on the camera def worth a play i think ...

i keep meaning to try some more sp's think i will this afternoon now ...

Thanks M.D - I'd really like to try this with two flashes, one on me and one to bring out the camera.

Its ok but a little bit too dark and if I'm honest a complete cliche :)

and whats wrong with cliche?

Actually, I thought trying the same old thing with some off camera lighting might make a subtle change to the old standard mirror shot - I'm not particularly happy with this though and it is a bit dark.

Heres another one, don't know if its any better:

Whats wrong with a cliche is that everyones done it :) You need to take the idea and put your own spin on it.

here's a thought mate.. can you get hold of a few mirrors...

then place them all in different places showing different bits...

same idea slight spin .. been done before but most things have...(y)

ps
i also prefer the second shot mate... looks good with the smile and eye contact

(y) a bit of contrast goes a long way

Id have another go. Petes right, its been done to death really.

Lets see your face :)

Just a quickie, but if someone is doing a self potrait would it not be better seeing the whole face rather than with a camera?

I`m new to all this, so from a complete novice who hasn't seen this kind of image before, I love it.
I have seen so many moments captured in so many ways I don't know where to start trying to put my own collection of images together. Seeing all these images has really opened my mind as to what is possible with a camera.
