Thank you very much for the positive comments

been fascinated by macro for a while, decided to go raynox route first as an experiment, might consider a lens if i get on with it ok

As others have said, they are really good images - especially considering it's your first attempt.

I have a Sigma 50mm macro (1:1) which I struggle with due to the extremely limited DOF. Would a Raynox do a better job for me (ie, give more DOF)? I'd probably look to use in on my 70-200 F/4 L as the largest adapter is 67mm.

well done
good series of shots
great clarity

thank you

thank you...as for your question sorry but i do not know, only got my raynox last week so new to macro, suspect some one else will be able to answer it for you

You are going to be working with a narrow DOF with any macro work it is one of the challenges. To obtain more you stopping down will help, but then you have the light problem. The only real solution is to use focus stacking.

Nicely done, good and sharp (y)

I use a Raynox DCR250 on my 55-250 and the DOF is really shallow even when stopping the lens down to f20. It gets worse the more focal length you use as the magnification increases.

many thanks for comment
do you get vignetting with the 55-250?
