So the roll of 120 Tri-X turned up yesterday and I managed to take a couple of shots with the Yashica Mat EM. Just some outdoor stuff - bit of graffiti on a wall, gasworks etc. Everything seems to be in working order, although even though I'm sure I lined up the arrows when loading the film when I crank it forwards the handle ends up nowhere near where it should be. But it's turning the same amount when cranking the film forwards and cocking the shutter.
EDIT: Even the meter seems to work reasonably well, comparing to my DSLR and separate light meter.
It's very interesting composing in a square format but it's an enjoyable challenge. Especially with everything reversed as well. Now in the dilemma where I'm keen to see how the shots turn out but I still want to take my time choosing shots
I will of course post the results assuming there end up being some on the film...
