Flash bracket for portrait/candids?

Hi

Just wondering what the thoughts are on these.

I normally bounce/twist the flash head whilst on the camera but am trying to see the benefits of these versus the additional weight, ttl cord and cost.

I can see the benefits in macro setups but don't know if there is anything obvious I am missing for portrait-like work.

Are there any significantly better than others?

Thoughts appreciated.

Custom Brackets will set you back a few bob, the obvious benefit is you get the flash as far off the camera as possible without have to twist turn the flash head when changing from portrait and landscape format (I use a Gary Fong light sphere in conjunction).
