Flash diffusers?

Ive got a canon 300D and i was browsing the accessories for it and i came across flash diffusers? Are they any good? Ive did looking on google and seen reviews there good for people photos etc..

Seen some on ebay for £4.99 just thinking is it worth getting one?
 
You mean for the pop-up flash? They just haven't got enough power to do anything with a diffuser, so no.
 
Amazing, people are so quick to part with money these days, please take me back to the good old days.

...or a piece cut from a translucent plastic milk bottle.
 
I bought a Lightstipper to have a play and it does work, but only in very limited circumstances, here's a test pic I took, first with just the pop up flash and second with the Lightstipper.

 
I just bought the "7dayshop DOME Lambency Flash Diffuser" (gary fong Lightsphere ripoff) and the regular Lambency Flash Diffuser and so far I'm very impressed. Got them both for just over £10 and initial tests are good. I just wish it didn't look like a hamster wheel stuck to the top of my camera :lol:

:thinking: Dont the additional 4 gel's help disguise that fact thou :lol:
 
A plastic cup and bra protectors...

I will stick with the prolite

Also dont use it too much and for too long or the flash will overheat closed in, I have seen it happen to a Canon flash. I have seen a very upset chap at the local club when the front plastic on the flash turned yellow and began to melt....
