Morning everyone

I think it is time to add a flash unit for my camera and would like to ask what would be your opinion of one suitable for a beginner? I can't go for a new Canon one right now as they are too expensive. So any thoughts on the next best would be great!

I would use it mostly for family shots and portraits to begin with.
 
I just got a used (very little used by the looks of it) 430EX ii. Works well with the 600D. I wasn't going to buy new as I felt too much. Picked mine up for £120...

I would not mind second hand but do like the look of the
Yongnuo’s YN-565 but it does not have TTL
? Need to check that out to see what it is

I've asked Seajay to post in my thread. I think she should now have access to the classifieds but not sure she can - please can a mod check if she now has enough days on here?

Appreciated and that is the purpose of the forum in a nutshell. The external flash will transform your hobby, seriously! Oh and get into the habit of using that tripod they can feel like a hindrance to start with but it really will benefit your shots.
