Can anyone help me identify which flash shoe (pinout / interface standard... bloody pedants! ;) ) appears on the sexiest compact camera to yet be released?

Scroll down, there's a top-view. I can't match it to anything I know of, and so far there's not enough information released about the camera to tell. Anyone recognise it?

Nah FITP, it's got 3 point contacts. That implies something doing some more talking goes atop it. Centre pin for X-sync, shroud for ground, the other 3 pins must mate with something.... question is, what?

In the past Fuji have borrowed from Nikon, but that's not a Nikon pinout.

Yeah I figured it wouldn't be Nikon, damn shame if you ask me! CLS on that puppy would have been out of this world.
It stands to be the first truly useful compact, so long as the handling is instant with no shutterlag.

Also noteworthy is an APS-C EXR sensor. Fuji seem to have (Regrettably) backed out of the SLR market, so this could well be my next "upgrade", seeing as how the S5 doesn't look likely to get a successor :(

It may not be the Nikon pin layout, but that's not what you asked, you asked what sort of hotshoe it is and it's a standard one....;)

There's no mention of a flashgun or compatibility on the X100 site, so it may well be that one will be announced at a later date
