An SB-26 will set you back the best part of £100, maybe more and would only work in manual mode on the FZ30 if you can connect it without the ttl contacts touching and buggering up the camera or flash.
Don't get a panny flash buy an Olympus model they are identical just a name change, and much cheaper. My dad has an oly one for is FZ50 and it work great. Oh he how has a battery grip for the FZ50 too
Does the Olympus one also have the manual and contact issues...I tried a remote trigger but it makes the camera default to F4 and 1/250...
I love my panny...HELP...
Whiteflyer...What models are the flash and make/model grip,,,?
Flash In The Pan...your gear looks good...any recommends for the FZ30...thinking some studio/outside and macro work as well...your prices look reasonable...
are you sure you want to put that much effort and money into the fz30
studio and macro require very different glass - which it doesn't look like you can change
also not to be harsh on your panny IQ would drastically increase with a larger sensor and a lens with less zoom on it
the couplea hundred quid a studio set up costs might be better spent elsewhere perhaps?
