can anyone recommend me a good flash for my Nikon d7200, I have a budget of around £200 but if I can get a good one cheaper then that's a bonus.

If I was starting today, I'd be looking at the Godox with the lithium battery (might be V860)

All the features you'd get in a SB9000 plus lithium battery, which will save money in batteries and chargers, and it'll work off camera with a great triggering system which is scalable.

Frankly it's a no-brainer IMHO.

There's cheaper flashes, some people would just rather recommend Nikon, but as far as a solid system is concerned, Godox is head and shoulders ahead of the competition.

Forget that just looked properly and that's from china... anyone know any good cheap (legit) sites?.
 
godox speed lights, triggers, monolights etc are available from amazon prime.
 
I went for the SB700 for my D7200, but i don't have the knowledge about flash the other guys do on here, i just wanted to stick with Nikon!

Lencarta is the other main Godox supplier, though speedlites seems to be out of stock ATM https://www.lencarta.com/studio-lighting/location-and-portable-flash-units-and-systems

Godox doesn't have an official "sole" distributor in the accepted sense, just a number of official retailers.

Thanks for all the help but after a lot of thought perhaps spending that much on a flash that I will hardly use seems pointless but still would like one for the occasional use so was looking at this one.....it looks like it will do the job for me at a price thats worth buying just to have an external flash in the bag, does anyone have any experience with one of these?
 
If the V860II is to expensive the TT685 is the same power and control layout using AA's at a lower price. Drawback is longer recycle times and fewer shots/charge. I'd recommend getting the X1 trigger as well for off camera use.

Honestly, saving a few quid on your first flash will quickly bite you on the bum if you decide to get more serious.

I'd rather start in a system I can build than just buy cheap then have to sell stuff later. Especially for these kind of savings

I brought the Godox TT685n along with the X1n and another receiver from amazon for £120 . great deal.
 
When I ordered mine from my "local" flashpusher the x1s trigger was out of stock so they loaned me another tt685 to use for triggering. Veeery clever, I ended up getting the trigger elsewhere but decided to keep the extra flashunit. Besides the two Ive later bought an AD360.
