flashgun advice

Does anyone out there know if my miranda 700cd flashgun will work on my nikon d3000, i used it with no probs on my fuji s9500 but am worried about trigger voltages.

I measured it and the flash measures negative 8.8v on centre pin and ground. (pos lead on centre pin and neg lead on the ground)

I was going to try it but the last thing i want is to kill my new pride and joy.
