Hello, looking to upgrade my flashgun and was looking at the Sony range, i was wondering in general, are all flashguns battery powered?

As sources of power, you either use batteries (either internal, or external packs), External battery studio strobes (lencarta Safari for example), or mains powered.... what size, power and use are you looking for?

I don't think you can power that externally... it doesn't mention it on the sales blurb and a quick google search shows up nothing:shrug:

i think the refresh rate is quick enough at the moment, so should be okay

get some good batteries... I'm using Duracell 2450's - £5 for 4 rechargeable from amazon works for me and great refresh rate (but depends on power setting obviously)
