Fleeting Sunlight

Ashness Bridge and a spring day as the sun made a fleeting visit through the dark cloud above. The morning was one for patience's as the dark clouds overhead kept rolling across and had to wait long periods for the sunlight to appear but it only ever lasted seconds.

Lovely composition, and overall a really nice shot. The sky being darker than the ground is a tad odd though. Is this edited to make it so?

Woodsy not touched the sky or foreground except a bit of levels and to add a curve, the sky at times was the dark cloud overhead then the sun would burst through for a few seconds.

No, you'll loose the depth that the shot has.
