Flesh Eating Monsters

These are the first macro/close up shots I have ever taken.
And I am surprised I still have fingers left and no blood was shed after capturing these images.

the three cockatiels/ the girls - can be like flesh eating monsters because of their Jekle and Hyde personalities. lol

the images were taken with my nikon D40, my 18-55mm lens and my raynox macro conversion lens (which i got today)

Not really macro though. Nice enough bird portraits but not macro. In need of a wee sharpen too I think

Not the easiest subject to start with. Try something simple to start with, a coin may be boring but its a good start.

well obvioulsy my first efforts are rather pants with regards to the lack of comments - ah well.

it was hard to take a pic of her, especially since they were all out of their cage. she flew away after that shot was taken, so i decided to leave her alown!
