I really like 2 and 4 as they depict the flooding theme the best for me. Its sad to see places flood as living in Hull and experiencing the flooding here in 2007 I can directly relate to it. However, getty images want flooding pictures atm so might be worth sending the set to them on twitter!

Thanks James, I'll look into the Getty thing :) I know what you mean about the flooding, but most of the places directly in the firing line in York are well used to it these days and take relevant precautions (for example, the pub which is almost up to the top of its windows has a stone floor and a removable bar!)

4# Kings Arms memories as have been in this pub a couple of times know why they have the Markings on the Wall!!!:crying:
 
I recognise the pub, still has the marker for every time it floods ?

Great photos. As an old York resident, I remember regular floods in the city centre. The Kings Arms was always either flooded or drying out from floods.
 
I like 2 & 4 - shame it happened, but since it did it's great that you recorded it so well. (y)
