Floral Soft Focus

Been playing with an old 200mm f2.8 manual focus lens I picked up which has a very odd macro/soft focus feature. Stopped down it produces fairly sharp 1:3 magnification images from about .9m but opened right up to f2.8 it gives a lovely smooth soft focus image with a decent dof. Here are a few experimental shots using a studio strobe and some less than fresh Valentines day flowers and Pampas grass heads.

Very nice set of floral style captures Ryan, good to see something a bit different.

Love these sort of photos.

Which lens is it?
Thanks, its a M42 mount Sigma Multi Protel YS 200mm f2.8 from the late 70's to early 80's. I have heard from a few sources that Sears also did a 135mm 'macro zone' one with a very similar style rendering but haven't gotten my hands on one to test yet.
