Flower macro

I liked the texture on the surface of this flower. The contrast seems nice on the texture too. Not sure if it's interesting enough a shot though.

Tis a nice shot, but I would have preferred the whole globe (thingy) in focus,more DOF for the whole bud thingy to be in focus

Only problem is i do all my macro shots handheld so can't get too small an aperture, hence shallow dof. Having said that, i think even down to smaller than f16, i don't think i would get tact much depth. Not sure if its a characteristic of 90mm lenses, but from what k have read, most macro lenses give about the same depth of field regardless of focal length.
