never done flowers before, had ago the weekend, the focus area was the yellow stripe bit at the top
is it in focus or not, i cannot make my mind up or is the texture of the flower making a soft look

I think the flower texture has made it look soft, some I tried last week had similar texture and looked soft when photographed.

Looking just fine to me - I was accepting the 'softness' as the natural texture of the petal - its a very appealing shot to me! Nice colours and dof!

I like it. I would go along with darkstar with it looking like the natural texture. They do have a velvet texture to them.

Like the colour and dof too.
