My first attempt at flowers in the garden. Not really sure what I am doing :thinking:, so any advice for future attempts much appreciated :)

Where these taken with a dedicated Macro Lens, what was the exif data?
 
These were taken with the D5000 and a Nikkor 16-85mm lens at 85mm with the aperture open f5.6, 1/640 sec ISO 200 for white one and 45mm, 1/400, ISO 200 for the pink one.

I don't have a dedicated macro lens yet!
 
I noticed one thing that photos are so clear to see and awesome. I like this all photos of flower, but I like most first photo of rose. Mention here which lens you used for taking a beautiful flowers photo and also share model number of camera.
 
they are both lovely shots, but i gotta say the second one is a stand out photo for me.... it works so well, clear, sharp, stunning detail in the flower, would look lovely printed on a canvas
 
I like them both, this is a tip my dads friend told me who is a pro."Always include all of a flower, persons head" So you might want that for future :)

The camera is Nikon D5000 with 16-85mm lens.

I will make sure all the petals are in the shot next time!!!
