Flying Hovers

After managing to catch one of these a couple of weeks ago, I've been trying hard to prove that it wasn't just luck. Finally, I've managed to get a couple more..

1) 1/200 f5.6 ISO400 @250mm

And it's finally had enough performing and flits off into the sunset (almost..)

2) 1/200 f14 ISO400 @250mm

Pfffft, my camera would meet a hard wall before too loong! These are ace.

Thanks Alby, yeah they really go some. I did try to get one with the wings stationary, but there wasn't even enough light to use 1/800 properly (when I tried it) as the pesky things flit around under the tree.
