Focus Assist Light when using PocketWizard Mini

Does anyone know if there are any devices out there which do focus assist with a hotshoe on top?

The reason is that I really like the idea of the PocketWizard AC-3 controller (which allows you to remotely control flashes either in manual or ettl or a combination) but if I use that then I will no longer have a focus-assist light which might cause problems when shooting in low light.

Any ideas?

Little bump on this (though I think the answer is that there is no solution!)
 
bump as well. This is a huge issue for me.
I'm considering hacking some sort of penlight/laser but there is no clear way to fire it during auto focusing as I believe none of the hot shoe pins are hot but that a binary signal is sent via the pins.

The ST-E2 wirelessly controls off camera flashes and has a built-in focus-assist light. It would do exactly what you are looking for. Unless, that is, you also need to fire an on-camera flash in which case the modded version suggested by Richard would do the trick. Or you could have the "on-camera" flash on a bracket and it would be fired by the ST-E2.
