Fog on the Tine

A couple of years ago, I tried an abstract image using three forks and a graduated fog filter, and I was flicking through my old photos and got reminded of it, so I thought I would try the 2009 version, and re-do the scene and see if it worked any better now than it did the (when it worked pretty well anyway...)


Simple set up. 3 forks on the work surface of the kitchen, and once processed, push up the exposure, add a touch of selective guassian blur, and finally overlay the graduated fog filter to send the 2nd and 3rd fork into the mistiness, deliberately out of focus.


C&C as always encouraged.

Hmm, not doing much for me I'm afraid. Also, you seem to be doing a lot of work on the computer that would be better done in camera. Any specific reason for going the PP route instead of photographic?

It was shot at f2.8 so DoF was as it was. I was trying something to see how it went. It'll appeal to some, and not to others, but like to try things

I quite like it, only ever messed about with this style of pp but never applied it to a propper image yet. I think it's good to practice all effect in different ways to, some times you get creative bursts
