Folder text ?

I have only just noticed in the past few days that with in my folders on my computer, the text under thumbnails, mp3s, word documents etc, the text on some are Black others are Blue, any ideas why?.

blue means its compressed.. (under properites the "allow compression" box is ticked)

Thanks Neil, looks to be the prob,using windows XP, Do i have to do these individually ? so far i have to right click on an image,mp3 or word doc, properties-advanced atributes- (untick) compress contents to save disc space (untick)

just do it on the folder and hit apply, it should ask if you want to apply to all subfolders and files

Thanks once more Neil. Just a few folders to do, i can do a folder at a time, but it does not ask to apply to sub folders, but thats ok, i can manage just these few folders.

Got it now, it now tells me to apply to sub folders....
