Hi,

I did this shots for a uni project and would be very grateful for your critique. Please be honest. I'm really willing to learn and would very much appreciate your feedback! :)
 
Yes, I shot in RAW. I set the white balance to flash though and hence pinkish hue.
Project was quite general. I need to do food shots of my own choice.
 
The shots and idea is interesting but I also think the processing might be improved. I would try changing the background to bright white and then enhancing the colours to bring them alive.

I would think if the brief was 'food photography' then they'd be looking for something commercialish in nature that could be used in a restaurant? This to me isn't really food photography, other than the fact you've used food to make pictures...

To be honest, having seen the work that fine art students are producing in their first term at my uni, I'm not sure that this would cut the mustard as university level work.
 
Manet did some really beautiful still life work with food that might be worth looking up. If you head onto JSTOR and look some articles up you'll see that he was looking at French commercialism. Might be worth a look.
