We've got a feature on the forums which is part of what's called vBSEO (Search Engine Optimisation). The feature we're running is called "Conditional Signatures", in that signatures only appear once per page, and only then, if the post content is over a number of characters (30 at the moment I think).

There's two reasons for it. One : The SEO (lots of outbound links in signatures can affect our google score when the spiders come crawling), and two...to cut down on the amount of 'clutter' in a thread.

If you've seen some forums with signatures repeated on every single post, it can get quite untidy, and at worst become hard to find the actual posts. (Yep, I've been on forums where signatures have been 2 and 3 pages long...lol )
