Hi folks, another newbie here from tamworth. My other halve bought me a d3100 a few years back and all i ever did was shoot auto.
I tried a few long exposures which worked well but the phone camera took over so the nikon got put away. Iv just got it out and charged it up as i want to get into it and shoot my hobbies and family. I love my motorbike and cars and enjoy cleaning them and this is the style im leaning towards. Although my camera is old in todays standard im hoping i can get the best out of this then as time moves i can upgrade when i understand how to use it.
Thats me for now nikon d3100 with a kit 18-55mm lens

Hi Adam,

The 18-55 (i assume VR) is actually a great little lens to learn about photography.

You can get a 55-200 fairly cheap on eBay now which would give you further reach / options in the future.

Welcome, newbie too, I bought the 55- 200vrii ( dropped the old one in a lake!) Really impressed...
