Yes
On his 350d. But he has it set to reset numbers after deletion or whatever its called. Is there any way to check, and what would the best way be?

Thanks guys.

He's re-setting the file number - you can't reset shutter actuations. Try www.opanda.com - for PC and FREE. Also do a search on the forum.

That's what I said, resetting the file number. Never mentioned resetting shutter actuation's.

Thanks for the link though.

You didn't mention file number - and I've told you how to check shutter actuations - which you did ask for.

I said resetting numbers after deletion. What else do you want me to say? I never once mentioned resetting shutter actuation's. Your words and your mistake, not mine friend.

And I asked for nothing else, I said thank you for the link. Whats the issue?

As far as I know there is no way to find out the Shutter Actuation on a 350D (or many other Canon cameras) though apparently Canon techs can.

That's correct Tom....the later Digic processors write the shutter count into locations 95D & E (coded in Hex) of the meta data but the 350D won't.

Your attitude is the issue - last time I'll offer you any help. You are not a friend!
