Frist attempt at the Zoo...

As title, popped into Marwell today with a new lens and first time playing with animals, I'm happy with the shots as photo's but feel they could be better, any pointers ?

I couldn't decide which I liked more than the others so have resized and sorry for the number of shots lol (should see how many I threw away and as you can see from these imagine the quality or lack of from them...).

Hi Ryan,

The pictures look quite soft to me, some could do with a bit of sharpening and playing with the contrast.

I have had a quick play with two of your images, I hope you don't mind. If you do, let me know and I will remove them.

I have over-sharpened it a bit..result of too much beer and being too lazy on my part !


Do you shoot in Raw? And what settings are you using? Some appear as if focal points might be in the wrong place. One or two can be cropped and have some distractions cloned out.

I regularly go to Marwell..maybe we should meet up sometime?
