from a noob

This is my 1st post on this forum, though photography has always interested
me. It's of my 2 year old son, Ayden.
I like the country feeling of it. Let me know what you all think...

I like the shot. You've clearly got a useful gardener in Ayden.

I would personally have gone for a closer crop as my eye is drawn to the reflection in the window.

also the tip was very useful and I will be more careful in
the future
Ayden @ his age is really not a very staitionary subject, either-lol
Also the speed @ which the Hp photosmart operates is quite a bother

Hello!

I wonder if you could improve photos of Ayden by coming right down to his level. The picture has got a bit of adult-looking-down-at-child feeling, and it'll be easier to capture some of his personality from lower down.

As flipster said, see if you can get closer, or at least crop much closer - it'll get rid of distractions.

I also wonder what it might look like as the original colour photo.
