I posted before in another thread that my S6500FD had broken after 4happy years use. So looking for a new camera asap for holiday in 3weeks. Given the situation of not actually saving for a new camera but now needing a new one asap, Im not really in the position I would like to be in when choosing a replacement for my beloved S6500. I assumed that I would replace it with either the S100FS, S200EXR or the HS10, but finances say no at the moment :shake:
So I've looked on the Fuji store at their refurbs and the S1000FD is priced at £89.99, with a promo code I had, it actually comes to £87.78 including VAT & delivery.
The main use of the camera for me would be holiday photos of my kids (usually places like Butlins, Haven, Disneyparis etc), so its a lot of meeting Characters at organised photo shoots etc. The other main use for the camera is band photos at live music gigs in venues with low lighting.
What I'm really asking is the camera any good for these scenerio's?
And is £87.78 including delivery an OK price to pay for a refurb?
