I don't believe so no, I had one of the mechanical shutter release cables.

Not sure about the X100 but some of the Fujis will accept a Canon release plugged into the microphone socket. Failing that, Fuji's manuals are pretty good and should tell you which electronic release you need. Cross referencing that against other models should throw up some budget alternatives.

It's not possible to use any electronic shutter release, it isn't a feature that was included on the X100 but was added to the X100S and X100T
